In the summer of 2025 Dunes Golf Travel teamed up with Max & Caleb from GOAT Golf Trips to create a truly once in a lifetime trip to The Northwest of Ireland !, The lads ticked off some bucket list courses like St. Patricks Links, County Sligo & Carne as well as playing some of the best hidden gem links courses in the world like Cruit Island, Strandhill & Donegal !, Take a look below to see what they got up and contact us today if you want to replicate their trip !
Day 1 Narin & Portnoo
Day 1 saw the lads arrived into Dublin Airport, picked up their hire car and headed straight west to the incredible Gil Hanse designed Narin & Portnoo Golf Links, featuring some of the quirkiest holes you will ever play this is always a firm favourite with our groups !, After their round they headed to the Waterfront Hotel in Dunloe where they stayed for the next two nights !
Day 2 Rosapenna
Day two brought the lads to one of the best golf resorts in the world – Rosapenna !, The lads started with a round at the world top 50 – St. Patricks Links followed by an afternoon round at its bullish older brother – Sandy Hills. They capped off the day with a couple of pints at the harbour bar in Downings before heading back to the hotel ahead of another 36 x hole day tomorrow !
Day 3 Cruit Island & Murvagh
Today came the biggest surprise of the trip for the lads as they teed it up as the jaw dropping Cruit Island before heading to one of the toughest test of golf on The Island of Ireland – Donegal Golf Club or as the locals call it “Murvagh”, After their round they head to the fabulous Sligo Park Hotel where they stayed for the next two nights
Day 4 Rosses Point & Strandhill
Today was another 36 x hole day for the lads including one of Ireland most historic courses – County Sligo Golf Club paired with one of the most underrated courses in the country – the incredible Strandhill !, After their round they headed out to sample some of the famous Sligo nightlife !
Day 5 Enniscrone
Day 5 brought the lads to the incredible Enniscrone Golf Links, Home to some of the largest Dunes Systems in the world Enniscrone embodies what a true Irish Links course is – Massive Dunes, Undulating fairways, Sea views and a few blind tee shots to go with it, what’s not to love !, After there round they didn’t have far to travel as they rested their heads at incredible Diamond Coast Hotel located a solid par away from the clubhouse !
Day 6 Carne
Day 6 might have been the most hotly anticipated days as the lads played all 27 x holes at Carne including the jaw dropping new Kilmore 9, Carne is wild, rugged, welcoming and truly Golf on the edge of the earth !
Day 7 Galway Bay
Day 7 was the final day of the trip an what better way to finish in the incredible city of Galway, the lads made their way to the stunning Galway Bay Golf Club for their afternoon round before enjoying a night on the town in what is one of the best city’s in the world !
