As a golf tour operator with years of experience welcoming discerning North American golfers to Ireland, I can confidently say there’s nowhere quite like the Eastcoast of Ireland for a truly unforgettable golf experience. An Eastcoast of Ireland Golf Trip isn’t just about the game — it’s about heritage, scenery, and the warm Irish welcome you receive from the moment you arrive. From the dramatic links at Portmarnock to the timeless challenge of The Island, this region boasts some of the finest golf courses in the world.
Day 1 Jameson Links
Day 1 of your Dublin Golf Trip will have you arrive in to Dublin Airport and make the short hop over to Jameson Golf Links. It doesn’t get much more Irish than playing on the course created by John Jameson the founder of Jameson Irish Whiskey. Just make sure not to hit Johns grave off the first tee
Day 2 The Island
After having some pints in temple bar last night the group will set off for The Island this morning for the second round of your trip. The Island is superb and can hold its own with the very best courses in the country and may be the best golf course on this Dublin Golf Tour
Day 3 The European Club (Brittas Bay)
Up until 2025 this was owned and run by the legendary Ruddy family, The European Club was Pat Ruddy’s pride and joy. So much so that he built 20 holes there with one of them being better than the next !. The European Club is known to be one of the toughest tests of golf on The Island of Ireland. Having been acquired by new owners The European Club is currently undergoing a complete overhaul and is due to open in Spring 2027 as “Brittas Bay”
Day 4 Royal Dublin
One of only five courses on The Island of Ireland bestowed the Royal tag making it Easily one of the most historic courses on an Dublin Golf Itinerary, Royal Dublin lives up to its first name. Perched on Bull Island the drive across to Royal Dublin is incredible and the golf isn’t half bad either !,
Day 5 County Louth Golf Club
Known as “Baltray” by the locals, County Louth is located around an hour North of Dublin and is certainly worth the journey. County Louth was the scene of one of the most famous moments in Irish Golf as a 22 year old fresh faced Shane Lowry won The Irish Open as an amateur. The scenes that followed will go down in Irish Legend and hopefully you experience something similar for your round at Baltray !
Day 6 Portmarnock
The final day of your trip leads you to the world famous jewel in the crown of this Dublin Golf Trip – Portmarnock. Considered one of the “Big 5” golf courses in Ireland Portmarnock is superb and is considered a stern test of golf. Its best to avoid those fairway bunkers at all costs !
